I've been a primary school teacher for a very long time and have always loved my job! My main concern when teaching has always been the emotional wellbeing of the pupils in my care and with this in mind I went to The Yale Centre for Emotional Intelligence to learn about the RULER Approach in 2014/16. RULER supports and develops the Emotional Intelligence and Emotional Literacy of whole school communities. It is built on decades of evidence based research and aims is to embed the principles of Emotional Intelligence into the heart of every school. I have loved training Nursery Schools, Pre-Preps and Primary Schools in the State and Private sectors to use the RULER Approach.
I also actively support Think Equal. Think Equal is the global education initiative that calls for a system change in education to end the discriminatory mindset and cycle of violence across our world. Think Equal calls on governments and education ministers to adopt its tangible, free programme mediating all aspects of value-based, experiential social and emotional learning for children aged 3-6 (including empathy, emotional literacy, resilience, self-regulation, critical thinking, gender equality, peaceful conflict resolution, self-esteem etc.). Think Equal uses two of the RULER Anchor tools in its curriculum, namely, The Mood Meter and The Meta Moment. I have contributed lesson plans and teaching video materials to support Think Equal training across the world and have recently written two children's story books for Think Equal to support the teaching of the RULER Anchor tools in the classroom.

Action for Happiness is an organisation that I try to promote with great enthusiasm! Lucky enough to help co-facilitate an eight week Exploring What Matters Course I realised in the process just how important it is for us all to take action to find our own happiness and how to have fun in the process.
Mumfidential is an online magazine who's ultimate aim is to support parents through the highs and lows of motherhood. It is read by over 50,000 mothers from many different backgrounds. I write parenting advice pieces for the site and act as an Agony Aunt answering emails from parents who want a little gentle advice when they find themselves a bit stuck!
Mindfulness in Schools Project I am trained to teach Mindfulness in primary schools using the MiSP Paws b curriculum.
