KS2 All Your Feelings are Real (you are human after all)
"Your Mental Health and Wellbeing."
A session for teachers. Life as a teacher can be overwhelming and challenging. With full on days, time is often in short supply and teachers can find themselves stretched and out of balance. A teacher recently described her days as equal to running a marathon on a daily basis.
This talk looks at what can be done within the school community to bring everyone together in a supportive and cohesive way. We talk about how everyone wants to feel at school and the ways to make this happen even on the tough days. Solving problems as a TEAM means that together everyone achieves more.
The emotional wellbeing of teachers is vital to the happiness of the whole school community and the smooth running of the school as a whole. Engagement from senior leadership to support the emotional wellbeing of teachers is seen to be a really healthy and proactive approach to a problem that is being felt by schools across the country.
This talk is delivered in person to teachers and can be done in a twilight session or as an INSET. It lasts for an hour.
"Feelings Matter"
A Session for Parents. Delivered online or in person a talk where the focus is Emotional Wellbeing, Mental Health and building Emotional resilience. As we continue to navigate our way through unprecedented and at times overwhelming world events it has become even more evident that these challenging times need us to develop our own emotional intelligence as parents and in doing so become role models for our children. With this in mind schools such as Wetherby, Dumpton, York House, The Merlin School and Cokethorpe Schools have invited me to talk to their parents giving advice and guidelines to help keep us all moving forward and adapt to change ever in challenging times.
If this is something that interests you for your school or your child's school please do get in touch. Recent feedback- "I was reminded this evening that's its ok to be human and it's important to share my humanity with my family!" "The feedback from the parents was very positive.
